What You Need to Know About Shipping Rate Increases 2019
FedEx: Effective January 7th, 2019. FedEx Express, Ground, and Home Delivery will increase shipping rates by an average of 4.9% for domestic and international services. FedEx Freight shipping rates will increase even more by 5.9% on average for services in North America. Here’s the overview from FedEx. USPS: Effective January 27th, 2019. Priority Mail rates are increasing by an average of 5.9%. First Class Mail (parcel) is changing from weight based to zone based pricing. Here’s a fact sheet of the price changes, and the announcement from the postal service.
DHL Express: Effective January 1st. 2019 DHL Express will have an average rate increase of 5.4%. Here’s the announcement and more information form DHL.
DHL Ecommerce: As a postal injection service, DHL Ecommerce’s rate increases are based on USPS First Class and Priority Mail increases.
