TEMPORARY Production Associate Part Time and Full Time Available (for period March 10 thru May 8th)

 

FLEXIBLE HOURS – Mon-Fri day shifts until 4:30pm and night shifts until 9:00pm. We also work every Sunday 8am-2 or 4pm as order volumes dictate. Tell us what works best for your schedule when you apply!

 

These positions work and perform tasks in all areas of the warehouse. Tasks include packing orders, picking orders, stock replenishing, processing returns and overall staffing support during this busy period. The Production Associate will be responsible for completing all tasks assigned in a timely and accurate manner. We are Covid-19 conscience, following protocols and practicing all safety procedures as directed by the CDC.

 

Qualifications and Skills:
Warehouse Environment, Multi-tasking, Self-Starter, Quick Learner, Dependable, Accuracy, Well Organized, Frequent Standing and Walking, Ability to Work Overtime/Flex Hours & Occasional Weekends.

 

Software Engineer – Full time

 

The Software Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining software that powers Excelsior’s business. There are several key systems we build and maintain: our web-based internal warehouse management system (“tlms”), our client facing web-app (the “portal), our API we offer to clients, and our various client-specific scripts we use for integrations with their platforms. As a member of the Excelsior tech team, you will be engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle: gathering and analyzing user/business requirements, designing new systems or improvements to those existing, writing code, testing it, and implementing. You will participate in design meetings to refine, test and debug programs. And assist in the design and implementation of critical products, while providing excellent technical support.

 

Job Duties: (includes but not limited to the following)

1. Develop and implement new software programs: tlms, the portal, Excelsior’s API, and integrations
2. Maintain and improve the performance of existing software (and a little hardware)
3. Design and update database
4. Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality, optimization and security
5. Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary
6. Communicate on a daily basis, system status, open issues, project updates, etc.
7. Other tasks as assigned, including cross-training of self and others as backups, and/or filling in or rotating in other positions as company workload requires.

 

Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:

• Oracle database & SQL experience
• Experience with PERL, Redis or similar languages
HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Other front-end frameworks a plus
• Experience with web server maintenance/optimization
• Experience with any the following a plus: Git/Mercurial, Docker, Nginx, jquery, node, APIs
• 5+ years software development experience
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices
• Must be dependable, well-organized and demonstrate professionalism, with strong attention to detail.

 

Technology Lead – Full time

 

The Technology Lead is responsible for managing the Technology team, which creates and maintains the software that powers Excelsior’s business. There are several key systems we build and maintain currently: our web-based internal warehouse management system (“tlms”), our client facing web-app (the “portal), our API we offer to clients, and our various client-specific scripts we use for integrations with their platforms. As the leader of the Excelsior tech team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving Excelsior’s systems on the whole. Your work will include managing priorities of the team, setting expectations internally, developing new ideas to help customers and internal operations, monitoring and anticipating problem areas, and participating in the software development lifecycle: gathering and analyzing user/business requirements, designing new systems or improvements to those existing, writing code, testing it.

 

Job Duties: (includes but not limited to the following)

1. Set the priorities of the tech team by listening to needs of operations, sales and customers
2. Develop and implement new software programs yourself and through managing the team
3. Maintain and improve the performance of existing software (and a little hardware)
4. Design and update database
5. Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality, optimization and security
6. Communicate on a daily basis with operations and customers as needed
7. Other tasks as assigned, including cross-training of self and others as backups, and/or filling in or rotating in other positions as company workload requires.
8. Self-starter able to work closely with staff from all levels of the organization
